An application and CV contain personal information such as an individual’s address and phone number, and sometimes also their date of birth, details about their family or criminal record, for example. Such data is covered by the General Data Protection Regulation.
Therefore, you need to have control over where e.g. applications and CVs are stored. This way if a person would like you to erase their data, you are be able to find their data, pull up all of the places where it is stored in your system and erase it – quickly. This is the “right to be forgotten”.
This also applies if data from a CV, for example, is sent out in emails, saved to a local folder or printed out before a job interview.
